The Unregister Shell Extensions dialog box allows users to remove Shell Extensions already installed on the current system. Therefore, all data available in this dialog box are initialized from the Windows Registry. Note that it is intentionally impossible to run deregistration from an external file. See following figure to get an impression about this dialog box.

| Class ID | This combo box provides the GUIDs of all Shell Extensions currently installed on the system. To remove one of these Shell Extensions select it from this combo box and click button [Remove]. Thereafter, the combo box selects the next available GUID automatically. Note that if no other Shell Extension is available all relevant dialog controls will be disabled! |
| Name | This edit control shows the name of currently selected Shell Extension. With this name it should be possible to find out which real Shell Extension is behind it. Note that this edit control is unlocked! But it doesn’t matter because this Shell Extension will be removed probably. |
| Description | This edit box shows the currently selected Shell Extension’s description, if available. Note that this edit control is unlocked too! But it doesn’t matter because this Shell Extension will be removed probably. |
| Remove all… | This check box allows deleting of all installed Shell Extensions at once. Note that the “checked” state of this control is not persistent by intention because an unconsciously removal of Shell Extensions is irrevocable. |
