This chapter provides a grouped overview of the keyboard shortcuts (alphabetic order) which are available in the Shell Extension Composer.
Following listed keyboard shortcuts are available in application’s main window.
| ALT+C | This keyboard shortcut closes current Shell Extension configuration. See toolbar button [Close] for more details. |
| ALT+D | This keyboard shortcut deletes either one or more menu items or a complete Shell Extension entry. Keyboard shortcut DEL can be used alternatively. See toolbar button [Delete] for more details. |
| ALT+E | This keyboard shortcut allows modifying the selected menu item. See toolbar button [Edit] for more details. |
| ALT+H | This keyboard shortcut shows the program’s help file. Shortcut F1 can be used alternatively. See toolbar button [Help] for more details. |
| ALT+I | This keyboard shortcut imports an already installed Shell Extensions from the Windows Registry. See toolbar button [Import] for additional details. |
| ALT+L | This keyboard shortcut loads Shell Extensions from an external XML file. See toolbar button [Load] for more details. |
| ALT+N | This keyboard shortcut either adds a new Shell Extension entry or appends a new menu item to the current Shell Extension. See toolbar button [New] for more details. |
| ALT+P | This keyboard shortcut opens the Properties Dialog. See toolbar button [Properties] for more details. |
| ALT+Q | This keyboard shortcut closes the application’s main window and quits the program. See toolbar button [Quit] for more details. |
| ALT+R | This keyboard shortcut performs an installation of pre–configured Shell Extensions on the system. See also toolbar button [Register] for more details. |
| ALT+S | This keyboard shortcut saves the current Shell Extension configuration into an external XML file. Keyboard shortcut CTRL+S can be used alternatively. See also toolbar button [Save] for more details. |
| ALT+U | This keyboard shortcut performs a removal of already installed Shell Extensions from the Windows Registry. For more details see toolbar button [Unregister] . |
| CTRL+ALT+S | This keyboard shortcut saves the current Shell Extension configuration into an external XML file using a different filename explicitly. See toolbar button [Save] for more details. |
| CTRL+INS | This keyboard shortcut adds a new Shell Extension entry explicitly. See toolbar button [New] for more details. |
| INS | This keyboard shortcut appends a new menu item to the current Shell Extension explicitly. See toolbar button [New] for more details. |
Following listed keyboard shortcuts are available in application’s main window and in Menu Item Editor dialog box but only if the menu item list has the focus.
| CTRL+DOWN | This keyboard shortcut moves currently selected menu item down by one position. |

This keyboard shortcut resizes the list’s columns to fit its content. |
| CTRL+UP | This keyboard shortcut moves currently selected menu item up by one position. |

| DOWN | This keyboard shortcut selects next menu item. |
| ENTER | This keyboard shortcut opens the Menu Item Editor dialog box to edit currently selected menu item. See also toolbar button [Edit]. |
| INS | This keyboard shortcut appends a new menu item to the menu item list. See also toolbar button [New]. |
| SHIFT+DOWN | This keyboard shortcut increases downwards the number of selected menu items. |
| SHIFT+UP | This keyboard shortcut increases upwards the number of selected menu items. |
| UP | This keyboard shortcut selects previous menu item. |
